NaijaTalkTalk- The Passion Incubator Is Launching Soon In Lagos

The city of Lagos is gradually becoming a major start-up hub in West Africa, as a new start-up incubator, tech hub or accelerator programme seems to be launching every quarter.

With the goal of launching five new startups out of its 2014 accelerator programme, building three of its own incubator businesses and attracting VC funding for at least three of its incubator startups in 2014, The Passion Incubator is placing a bet on the Lagos tech scene with an imminent launch.

Founded by Olufunbi Falayi and Taiwo Ajetunmobi, who’ve both led project teams at corporations and have been involved with some start-up projects, the incubator is currently accepting applications for its 2014 accelerator class which would provide entrepreneurial training, after which successful startups would embark on a 3-month business development internship to acquire the skills necessary to successfully start-up their businesses.

At the end of the programme, start-ups would be able to pitch their businesses to potential investors. While the early-stage accelerator programme was inspired by the model used at India-based Kanthari, an incubator for social initiatives, it is said to be open to a wide array of entrepreneurs with a clear business idea that solves a large scale problem.
