In celebration of Barrister Seyi Tinubu’s 40th birthday, a nationwide initiative has been launched to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible across Nigeria. The gesture, according to organisers, is aimed at promoting moral rebirth, ethical leadership, and spiritual transformation among Nigerian youths.
The project was formally announced on Sunday during a thanksgiving service at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
Speaking at the event, Enwere explained that the initiative was not about celebrating an individual, but rather a spiritual investment in the moral and ethical development of the nation’s younger generation.
“The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation,” Enwere stated. “Through this effort, we hope to restore integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among young Nigerians.”
The thanksgiving service was simultaneously held in about 40 churches nationwide, featuring prayers, worship, and messages of national unity.
At the Abuja gathering, Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, led special prayers for the Tinubu family and the nation, commending the initiative as timely and necessary amid concerns about the decline of moral values in society.
In a message read on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed appreciation to the organisers, emphasizing that faith-based education, discipline, and moral training are crucial in building a responsible and united Nigeria.
“Our generation must return to faith and values that build strong families, ethical leadership, and national progress,” his message read.
According to the organisers, the first batch of Bibles will be distributed in the coming weeks through churches, schools, and youth ministries across all states of the federation.
The initiative has been widely commended as a symbolic act of faith and nation-building, blending spirituality with civic responsibility in honour of Seyi Tinubu’s milestone celebration.
