The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has expressed his gratitude at joining the prestigious Ibadan Polo Club as a full-fledged member, besides being a mandatory patron to the club as the governor of the state.



The governor, who addressed members of the club in company of his wife, Chief Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, pledged to embrace the game as a means of recreation, especially after leaving office as governor.
Ajimobi also accepted to sponsor the cup instituted in his honour during the annual major tournament of the club.

The captain of the club, Kanyinsola Owoeye, while presenting the trophy to the governor, said the cup would be played for by polo players with handicaps +7 and 8, considering the importance attached to the cup by the club.

In stead of the lcub, Owoeye thanked the governor for his continuous support.
