Former Nigeria International, Friday Ekpo has appealed to the Nigeria Football Federation to jettison the idea of hiring a foreign Coach.



Speaking with footballlive.ng, Ekpo insists that appointing a foreign Manager is a harbinger for further rifts and troubles in the FA and Nigeria football.

A self-professed advocate for indigenous Coaches, Ekpo argued that given a level playing field and the necessary support, a Country with a number of brilliant Coaches like Nigeria can produce a real winner.

The NFF are in the process of hiring a foreign Technical Adviser for the Super Eagles but have also named Salisu Yusuf as chief Coach; a decision Ekpo welcomes while drumming support for the former Enyimba FC gaffer.
